Discover a land of beautiful beaches and crystal clear seas

Thailand is home to spectacular beaches and beautiful clear waters. Take off your sandals and feel the sand between your toes on Lamai Beach, ones of the prettiest shores in the country or join the jet-set on the upmarket Ao Nang Beach. Relax in the shade of a palm tree on Chaweng Beach, the longest on the island of Koh Samui or enjoy the white sands of the ever popular Patong Beach where you can party into the night. Why not take a traditional boat ride to Freedom Beach where you can feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland? Or for serious partygoers, join in with the 10,000 other visitors at the once a month Full Moon Party on Had Rin Nok Beach where you can drink and dance to your heart’s content.

Discover a land of culture

With a long and colourful history, there are plenty of cultural attractions to keep you busy in Thailand. Admire the sunrise from the Temple of the Dawn or be astounded by the unmissable and distinctive Big Buddha Temple. Make sure to visit the Grand Palace, hugely popular with tourists from all over the world, built in 1782 and just as spectacular today. See the Chalong Big Buddha, towering at 147 feet tall and enjoy the views in the evening of the Golden Mount, which, it has been said, contains some of the Buddha’s teeth. For something a little different, why not discover the lost city of Wiang Kum Kam, once the capital city but abandoned centuries ago or find out more about the hill tribes of the North of the country at the Tribal Museum in Chiang Mai where you can see traditional homes, clothing and tools.

Of course, Thailand is famous for its nightlife and what better place to party the night away! Thailand is also home to a number of cabarets, including the Calypso Cabaret at the Asia Hotel in Bangkok. Celebrating transsexual culture, you can enjoy dancing and singing acts, with performances in a number of languages. You should also visit the Simon Cabaret and see the famous performing Ladyboys. For a more family friendly experience, why not see the Phuket FantaSea Show with its amazing wild animal entertainments. Spend an evening drinking in one of the tallest buildings in Thailand on the 64th floor Sky Bar of the State Tower where you can see an amazing panorama and marvel at the beauty of the setting sun.

Discover a land of nature

Although there are many spectacular man made attractions for tourists to enjoy in Thailand, the beautiful countryside should not be forgotten. No holiday to Thailand would be complete without a visit to Kanchanaburi where the Kwai Noi and Kwai Yai Rivers meet. Hire a bike and follow one of the trails, or enjoy a hike in the spectacular countryside. See the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks on Lamai Beach and see if you can see the resemblance to the male and female anatomies! Take a cooling dip in the lower levels of the Na Muang Falls or ride on an elephant to see the upper tier. Why not try diving from Koh Larn off Pattaya where you can see the amazing coral reefs or sample an egg boiled in the 80 degree water at the Mae Ka Chan hot springs!
